🗡️ Rings of Power Meta Masterpost 💍
(updated)
Hi, I'm Melanie, a random person from Idaho who happens to be obsessed with Payne and McKay's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. On my blog (Beyond Darkness) I will attempt to peel back the layers of the show, dissecting scenes, characters, Bear McCreary's incredible score, and the great volumes of text that inspired the writers, penned by Tolkien himself.
This is an ongoing (and updated) list of everything I have posted so far on the blog.
"It is difficult to say anything without saying too much: the attempt to say a few words opens a floodgate of excitement. [...] I shall inflict some of this on you; but I will append a mere résumé of its contents: which is (may be) all that you want or will have use or time for." - J.R.R. Tolkien, From a Letter by J.R.R. Tolkien to Milton Waldman, 1951
Galadriel's Obsession Part 1: Chance-meeting
"Before theorizing about anything else in the show, I believe the most important thing is to determine by what means Sauron and Galadriel were brought together. This topic was not simple enough for a single post, so it might take several parts, or an on-going conversation."
Galadriel's Obsession Part 2: Finrod's Death
"Everything already made sense on the surface, but when I looked deeper into the reason for Finrod’s death, I found there was much more than met the eye. From Galadriel’s perspective, the dagger was special because it was Finrod’s, and she viewed it as a symbol of his task—now hers. However, on the boat, we saw a peculiar attachment as she struggled to let it go. The reason behind this is simple. 'The most important truths often are,' said Finrod, but we must learn to discern them for ourselves; J.D. and Patrick will not always be there to speak them to us. First, we must trace this back to the source."
Galadriel's Obsession Part 3: Vengeance
"Thanks to Thingol naming the Silmarils in desire, there is a chance that Sauron noticed a great power being moved from slumber, yet he could not discover their secret 'no matter how much blood he spilt in its pursuit.' Fëanor’s vow loomed over everything, and Beren’s oath was underneath; but Finrod’s was the reason they were there. There was enough information and evidence for Sauron to pass on a story to someone who did not know the truth, even if he did not truly believe it himself: 'The head of this company vowed to seek me out and destroy me. But I found him first.'"
Sauron Unchained: Blood Oath
"'But could Morgoth afford to permanently ban him? Physically enslave him and risk turning Sauron against him?' (liveinfarbe). The risk becomes greater when you consider Sauron's subsequent aversion to Morgoth, implied by the enmity he exhibited each time Morgoth was mentioned in the first season. Of course, we know the end from the beginning, but Morgoth did not. Would he have taken the risk? Would it have even mattered? [...] Let's examine the nature of Sauron's attachment to Morgoth."

I need to vent about Watcher, endure it if you can
Relax, this isn't a parasocial thing, but it is a long ass post, which suits me as a long ass human.
I need an outlet to discuss the terrible business decision Watcher has made by announcing their plan to leave YouTube, and this long-forgotten Tumblr account reached from its grave to grab at my ankle.
If you didn't see their video, good for you. It's extremely cringe-worthy in its sentimentality and editing, with blurry shots, pensive pauses and obligatory sad piano.
But at least there's no f'ing Ukulele.
Although, I think we might get the Ukulele in a few months.
Even though anyone who reads this is probably familiar with what the "Ghoul Boys" have done, I feel as though I need to add a little history.
WATCHER HISTORY
You can skip this part if you've been obsessively following the shenanigans, this is for the noobs who were never a "shaniac" or a "boogara".
Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara used to work at Buzzfeed. They hosted the successful Buzzfeed Unsolved shows. In 2019 they followed in the footsteps of the Try Guys and Safia Nygaaard and left Buzzfeed to create their own YouTube channel named "Watcher".
They brought along Steven Lim, another Buzzfeed person who is most known for the "Worth It" series. This series followed Lim and his friend/s spending obscene amounts of money on obscenely overpriced and indulgent products.
Think of it as being similar to the $100 V's $10,000 Sidemen content, only without the self-awareness and British "bad lads" humor.
Notably, even the Sidemen seem to have cut back on those adventures, perhaps understanding how bad it looks when so many people are struggling to pay their essential bills.
Steven became the CEO of Watcher while Shane and Ryan continued to create and present for the new channel.
They were wildly successful by YouTube standards. At the time of their self-spanking on Friday they were close to achieving 3 million subscribers, in just 4 years, based on basically only 2 cornerstone shows. If Social Blade is still a reasonably trusted source in everything but estimating income, they were gaining thousands of new subscribers every week.
Their most successful shows were Ghost Files, Puppet History, Too Many Spirits and Mystery Files.
Ghost Files is the only one of these shows which requires heavy investment, travel, a large crew and impressive production costs. These videos are shot on-location and require a lot of work. The rest are basically Good Mythical Morning style, just the two hosts and their banter.
Aside from Ghost Files, their content could be created with 3 cameras, 2 lapel mics and a good editor.
They were massively successful, solely because of Ryan and Shane.
THE DEMISE
So, what did they do on Friday 19th April? They decided to announce the launch of their own subscription platform.
Not a Patreon for extra content, behind-the-scenes, audience interaction etc, (they already had a Patreon with 6,000 paying subscribers earning them at least $50k a month), but a bespoke streaming platform which looks like a clone of Netflix.
The cost is $5.99 a month, or $60 a year.
Comparable to Netflix.
And by that I mean the price is comparable to Netflix while the content is comparable to a 4 year old YouTube channel.
Don't get me wrong, their production quality is incredible. The quantity, however, is not.
From the end of May viewers will have to pay to be a subscriber on their own platform in order to watch their shows.
They'll still be posting their trailers on YouTube, and the first episodes of new shows, but to watch it all you'll have to pay up or miss out.
Edited to add: Variety originally reported the Watcher crew were planning to remove all their existing content from YouTube to monetize it on their own platform. It's since been confirmed they will not be removing their old content. Fans are undecided whether this was a back-track after the announcement or a misunderstanding by Variety. You be the judge.
Of course, they're entitled to do this. They are creating a product and you can either enjoy it or not. No one is entitled to see it, for free, whenever they like.
Why did they do this?
Half of the sombre video gushes about their "humble beginnings" as "struggling young guys in a big harsh world", which comes across as extremely self-indulgent and ego-stroking.
A quarter of it explains how insanely successful they've been on YouTube and how this is all thanks to the fans who stuck with them after Buzzfeed, how it's allowed them to hire 25 people, how it's given them the freedom to create what they enjoy making and what the viewers want to see, and - most importantly - how it's allowed them to increase production quality on Ghost Files.
The final quarter of the video explains that this isn't good enough, the quality isn't high enough, the finish not glossy enough, it's not "TV caliber" enough! They want more, they need more, you have to give them more, mostly (apparently) because their CEO Steven Lim wants to bring back his show where he flies around the world with his bestie sipping Champagne and eating gold-leaf-covered lobster.
In short, they want more money to make even bigger things, even though their audience never asked for that.
WHY IT WILL NOT WORK
Oh my goodness, this is going to be a ride so strap in.
I'm not a YouTube creator so there are a lot of things I do not know. Having said that, I know a little about business.
This ain't Buzzfeed, y'all
Watcher became successful because of Ryan and Shane. It was their friendship, their personalities, and the content we loved to watch featuring them at Buzzfeed, that brought us along for the ride.
The audience they poached from Buzzfeed is there for them and Ghost Files. It's not there for Steven Lim and "Worth It". His show worked under the Buzzfeed umbrella only because they had numerous sub-categories in that community to support it.
The Try Guys left and created their own channel from their Buzzfeed fans.
Safia Nygaard left and created her own channel from her Buzzfeed fans.
Shane and Ryan left and created Watcher from their Buzzfeed fans.
Steven Lim left and became the CEO of Watcher. He didn't take his audience with him.
The audience of Watcher is not the audience of "watch me fly around the word with my pal and spend $100K on hand-reared, Whiskey marinaded, diamond-encrusted Kobe steak".
And... IN THIS ECONOMY?
Steven chose to become a CEO instead of a presenter. He's missed the opportunity to take that Buzzfeed audience with him.
This is made clear by the Watcher channel itself. Their "man eats food" content rarely breaks 500K views while their Ghost Files breaks 2 million consistently.
If a million of their viewers followed them from Buzzfeed to Watcher, the other 2 million have joined them since, based almost entirely on their spoopy content.
Not only did they base their channel on this genre and format, they have distilled their audience further ever since the creation of their channel and no matter how hard they try to diversify into "man eats food" it's just not working.
This ain't Netflix, y'all
As mentioned, the $5.99 charge is comparable to Netflix and just about every other streaming platform. Only Watcher can't give you even 5% of what a competing platform can offer for that price.
Other platforms also tailor their content and their pricing based on geographical location and localized economics.
You're paying far less than $5.99 a month if you live in an economy where the median household income is $300 a month. YouTube has a global audience. Their subscribers don't all live in a stable economy where $5.99 is considered disposable income.
We don't know the numbers, but I would guess only 60% of their subscribers are based in the USA, Canada, and the UK.
Even for those who do live in a stable economy, their audience is predominantly young adults and students. Most young adults are currently facing the reality that they will possibly never own their own home, they're living day-to-day trying to budget.
They've instantly priced-out a large % of their audience.
I confidently predict that diehard fans who can't see anything wrong with this will sign up for $5.99 a month, binge watch for a couple of weeks, realize there's no new spoopy content and cancel.
They'll come back when a full season of Ghost Files has arrived, pay again, binge it and leave.
Steven Lim thinks they're gonna get $5.99 a month, every month, from thousands of subscribers. In reality they're going to get maybe $12 a year, from people signing up to binge watch what they want, then leaving.
This will then decline naturally as attention wanes during the months where there is no spoopy.
This ain't good marketing, y'all
They're going to be posting "trailers and season pilots" on YouTube.
Sure, I bet YouTube is gonna be totes okay with a channel doing nothing but trying to hijack traffic for an external site.
Posting nothing but trailers and season premiers will mean maybe one full video per month during busy seasons. That's not enough to remain relevant for the algorithm.
If 80% of those posts are also just trailers saying "leave YouTube and come here", the channel will be smacked down quicker than a crypto scam using an AI generated Elongated Muskrat.
Their channel was growing steadily, but that was with full content regularly posted. When the schedule drops off, and when most of it is considered spammy by YouTube, it's going to collapse like a flan in a cupboard.
A streaming platform needs a constant flow of new subscribers just to replace the gradual drop-off (maybe ask Rooster Teeth about that). When your global audience at YouTube is gone, where are those new subscribers coming from?
The platform is also an additional overhead. It's going to cost thousands a month to keep the servers going.
This ain't good financial management, y'all
I don't know if they've already spent hundreds of thousands of $s on Lim's "men eat food" gamble, but I suspect they have.
I know they have spent hundreds of thousands of $s on a new season of Ghost Files, flying to the UK to host live events while filming those episodes.
This means they've over-extended their finances just at the moment where they've cratered their opportunities to see a return on investment.
Just that, on its own, is enough to destroy a production company.
They do not need 25 employees any more than I need an editor and proof-reader for this long ass post.
They do not need a production studio in Hollywood any more than I needed an office to write this.
They do not need to spend tens of thousands of $s on glossy graphics that appear on screen for maybe 4 seconds in one episode any more than I needed to add screengrabs to this painfully long essay.
By leaving YouTube they've lost:
Adsense revenue (which might not be much on a per-video basis but adds up with a back catalogue over years of productions)
Sponsorship deals, which allegedly contributes almost 50% of their annual revenue.
Merch sales, which is about to crash if the only people they can promote merch to are already paying per month in their smaller ecosystem.
Patreon. Why would someone pay $5.99 twice, for the same or less content?
And they've abandoned all of this for maybe a few thousand people who will probably end up paying just $12 a year when a new spoopy season arrives for them to binge.
I'm no Will Hunting, but no matter how hard I try to make the numbers work they just don't, and I don't need Robin Williams to tell me it's not my fault.
This ain't nice, y'all
Some of you are feeling like Ned's wife right now, and some of you will have no idea what that's in reference to.
Most of you will hate that I made that reference more than you hated the SNL skit.
I get it.
Maybe the worst part about all of his, from a viewer's perspective, is the dismissive nature of their sign-off.
They didn't mention the Patreon members once, not one single time in the whole video. It's like they consider the Patreon "too YouTube". They're the deformed cousin locked in the attic. They're the relative who wasn't invited to the wedding because they can't afford a Tom Ford suit. They're the colleague who isn't invited to the staff night out because they only work in accounting and no one has anything in common with Janice anyway.
These are diehard fans who were actually paying them extra to support them and enjoy a little bonus behind the scenes, and the boys didn't even consider them worthy of an utterance.
They also finished with "If you don't follow us and pay up it's been real, peace out". I'm paraphrasing, but that's basically what it was.
They spent so much of the video saying how awesome and great it was that the fans and YouTube got them to this point, but they didn't thank their Patreon members, and they ended with a blunt suggestion that if you don't follow them and pay more then you're not a real fan anyway and they don't really need you.
"Thanks for getting us here, sucks to be you, bye now!"
You made them wealthy, you helped them hire 25 people, you helped them increase production value to "TV caliber" even though you didn't ask for that, but your job is done and now you're superfluous. Only the real fans are wanted.
In the words of the great George Carlin - "It's a big club, and you ain't in it".
They're okay losing the vast majority of the people who got them here if a few thousand of those are comfortable enough to be able to pay $60 a year for a YouTube channel.
Can it get worse? Sure!
We've had a weekend to enjoy the constant heat of this bonfire and it's predictably worsened with each hour of silence from the company and its employees.
The fact that they haven't back-tracked, despite almost unanimous agreement that this is badder than the baddest thing that could happen to their company, suggests they're okay with it.
Consensus seems to be that they knew it would be this bad, and they're cool. They predicted 90% of people would scream "Boo to you good sirs! Boo indeed!" and they could still survive on the 10% who don't see a problem here.
The lack of response reinforces the narrative that they're totally fine with discarding almost their entire audience if they can just squeeze the cash they need out of whoever is left.
This ain't fixable, y'all (maybe)
Note: I don't want this to be mean, but it's going to sound a little bitchy no matter how I try to say it.
If they'd brought out the Ukulele on Saturday, or even teased Ukulele's on their socials before putting out a video on Sunday, they probably could have survived this with much hand-wringing and a little groveling.
But now I think they've grilled this Kobe steak for far too long.
They've lost 100K subscribers, and counting. The venom among Patreon members is allegedly worse than the public comments section under the video, which is startling. Dozens of YouTubers are torching them harder than a $100 crème brûlée.
People are scraping their channel content in case it's nuked.
Shane "eat the rich" Madej's sentiments over the last few years look disingenuous, to say the least. To shamelessly steal someone else's comment: "Imagine being all 'eat the rich' right before throwing yourself on the plate". He's silent while his McMansion burns down, at his own hands. "Why not!?" indeed.
Steven "I drive a Tesla" Lim's socials now make him look like a tech-bro try-hard and his use of words like "early adopter" and "soft launch" in the video only compound the belief that this was all his brainchild. He is the CEO, and that comes with responsibility and the associated blame. You can't steer the ship into the Bermuda Triangle and then disappear without looking like the bad guy.
Okay, you can disappear, but that convoluted metaphor is a mystery for someone else to solve.
Ryan "TV caliber" Bergara now sounds like an elitist who thinks YouTube is "too pedestrian" for his big plans, not big enough to meet his artistic vision. You see, he's more James Cameron, while YouTube is more like your student film club. He's grown beyond this pesky platform with billions of daily hits offering exponential growth with almost zero financial risk.
Even if they released a video today admitting they messed up big time it's still going to be hard to get the taste of this Ghost Pepper Warhead out of the collective mouth of their viewers.
This hasn't just burned their shared brand, it's singed their individual reputations among an audience upon which their careers rely.
What they should have done, on Saturday, is release a video (Ukulele or no) confessing their error. They should have announced their new platform will instead just be a bigger and better Patreon, with early access to everything, behind-the-scenes content, extra features, audience interaction etc.
They should have reversed to make clear their YouTube channel will stay the priority, their main source of revenue, but that you could get more on their own platform if you want it.
And, maybe, over time, people will pay for that. If they grow their channel to 6 million subscribers in the next 4 years there will be a couple hundred thousand of them willing and able to pay $5.99 a month for 8 years of shows, 8 years of behind the scenes content, 8 years of community involvement and regular early access to new episodes.
Maybe then they could try out their "privileged guys eat expensive food in expensive places" show and see how it does? Maybe a majority of people won't be living on the cusp of poverty by then and it won't look as tone-deaf as a 13 year old YouTuber trying to cover Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah"? Maybe then they could hire another 50 people and make Bergara's "TV caliber" (I still don't know exactly what that means) game shows and reboots?
The clock has been ticking since they hit that "publish" button on their career ending video, but that clock is about to count down to zero and silence will permeate throughout their previously lively community.
That 1980s basement set needed someone crying in the corner, right?
The problem is, their own platform is not a terrible idea. Really, it's not the worst thing they could do. The badness came in the timing, the switch, the middle finger and the f you. They could have released this as an extra, their own Patreon alternative, waited, developed it over time into something sustainable and established.
They could still try to do that and hope this dark chapter is forgotten.
Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe Lim is a financial genius with more skill than the management of Rooster Teeth and their corporate parent company combined? Maybe this gamble will be wildly successful despite all streaming services down-sizing or just going bankrupt? Maybe they won't be back on YouTube in 3-6 months begging for views after having to lay off 20 of their employees?
I know this... if I were one of those 25 employees blind faith would not be enough to stop me from looking for another job.
I suppose this will, for now, remain... a mystery.
EDIT:
I'm not writing another essay about this, but I'm glad to see they've backtracked and made the right choice to use WatcherTV as any sane creator would - to host early access and exclusive content in addition to their YouTube channel.
Over time, while promoting it in every video, building up that trust and fan base, it can be a secure and long-term financial bonus helping them to expand their business incrementally as finances allow.
Why this wasn't the plan all along is anyone's guess. Gambling everything on this was never the sane decision.
I still think they need to scale back on costs. I still think the food content is not currently a viable source of income while being a serious drain on resources. I still think they need to stop hiring all their friends and they need to hire one person who doesn't have personal relationships with everyone there and can make the tough business decisions.
No one likes firing people, it's ten times worse when it's a friend. But this is a reality of business and just wishing it wasn't so isn't going to make it go away. It would be awesome if we could all run a business where we can hire all our friends and family, never have to rely on any outside funding, make whatever we want, make a great living in one of the most expensive cities in the world and continue to grow.
That's just not the reality.
Their apology was genuine, in my opinion. I just hope they can work out the right financial balance.

Hello! Firstly, I adore your blog. Secondly, I’d like to ask what do you think about Jupiter and Saturn being in the same house. They don’t conjuct. I have mine in the 11th house in Gemini.
Hello love! Thank you so much for loving my blog. 🩶
I've mentioned it before, I think having both planets in one house creates a certain balance. Not much restriction or limits, nor poorly controlled excesses; Both work together to create a balanced, albeit dual, energy.
Jupiter in the 11th house usually enlarges social groups, but it is thanks to the presence of Saturn that, although there is the desire to connect with others, it knows how to opt for the quality of social circles rather than the quantity, having greater filters before calling someone friend.
Since both planets are social, they are people who know how to exist in society and who tend to be liked. Jupiter gives you a certain warmth and an open approach when it comes to interacting with people, and Saturn gives you morality, the mindset of “treating others how I want to be treated.”
Being a house of finances, more specifically related to the money you make through your work, the fact that both are in the same house favors a large income through work, as well as a salary sufficient to cover your expenses and give you some small luxuries [more if they aspect Venus].

Help the Dangerous Ladies Keep Creating!
Hello, it’s been a while! Unfortunately, we’re coming back under less than ideal circumstances. Our Etsy shop, our main source of income, has been recently suspended due to copyright claims. At the behest of our supporters, we have started a Gofundme to help keep the lights on.
Help Us Out at our GoFundMe
If you don’t know us, we're a small woman owned and operated, LGBT-friendly costuming company that has been cosplaying together for a decade and providing resin kits, patterns, textiles and other accessories to the community since 2013. We’re based in Toronto, Canada.
To date, we have shipped more than 26,000 kits, prints, files and other resources for cosplayers. This business is our livelihood and came to fruition through hard work and effort. Everything we make is from scratch, with our own hands and our own machines, in small quantities, to order. Our digital files are all made in-house, individually, using no official assets. We are not a factory mass-producing wholesale goods, nor do we dropship other people's products. We are a committed little business that has loved being on Etsy, and truly believe we are the very artists that Etsy should want to platform –– our goods are handmade, unique, and often the only resource of their kind! We work hard for our high ratings, but agents operating on behalf of certain companies occasionally send take-downs, and then do not reply to us when we try to work it out with them. It's complicated, but the reality is that we're creating projects in the realm of transformative work and are by no means taking away profit from the creators of these properties, as our cosplay kits are one-of-a-kind creations with no official analogue. We also feel very strongly that cosplay is an incredible form of free advertising for companies producing video games, anime, tv shows and movies. Cosplayers put in a tremendous amount of labour, time and money to make their costumes, which they wear and display all over conventions, the internet and social media. We know from experience that companies enjoy and engage with the fruits of this labour; the very companies that inspire us to create kits sometimes hire us (and other cosplayers) themselves to represent their media after having seen our store! We've had the distinct pleasure of working for media companies large and small, and they know what we make and allow us to keep the rights to our files and associated assets. These companies also regularly post on social media with cosplayers using our work. However, Etsy does not know who or what companies choose to allow the sale of fan art and goods. To them, a report is a report, even if it is erroneous or mistaken. This has been a crushing blow to us as a small business. We're a very month-to-month, low-profit business after we pay the bills and our team. Currently, Dangerous Ladies employs eight staff members and operates from a rented studio space. Both our staff and our space are an integral part of our business and allow us to be able to operate at our current capacity, providing cosplay resources to creators all around the world. Without support, we will have to scale back dramatically, if not close entirely. While we work to appeal with Etsy, we realize that there is a chance we may not see our platform flourish there again, so we are working diligently to bring you our new website, and welcome you to visit our Storenvy in the meantime. We started this Gofundme Although orders are very important to us right now, we understand that some of you may not have the need to order a kit, print, or fabric at the moment, but still wish to support us through this trying time. For this, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely, the Dangerous Ladies Jenn, Christine, Shazz, Aubree, Nicole, Gabi, Syd, and Jules <3 Can I see more of what you do? Of course! While our Etsy is down, you can visit us on Storenvy or subscribe to our newsletter. You can also find us on Twitter and Instagram!

Rebel Army Machines
The Type-2 Armoured Fighting Vehicle “Di-Cokka” is well-known for being used in tough fights and its stationary H-Cannon, a short-barreled 155mm cannon capable of rapid fire. The original German-American variant featured two slow-firing turrets, but Rebel Army engineers redesigned the Type-2 Di-Cokka to be more compact, equipped with a single smoothbore gun capable of firing at high velocities. Rumors suggest that the H-Cannon had to remain stationary due to its heavy weight, but only the original engineers know the true reason. Due to its cost-effective production, the Rebel Army has been able to mass-produce the Type-2 Di-Cokka, making it the most produced tank in the army. Notably, even under limited conditions, the Rebels successfully created the tank's main gun without compromising its high quality, making it ideal for mass production.
The Type-3 Armoured Fighting Vehicle "Bull Chan" was developed by Rebel Army tacticians in response to concerns that the Regular Army could launch attacks from rugged terrain. Designed to counter this threat, the Bull Chan is a heavy tank featuring reinforced armour that's tough and durable. It's equipped with tracks that can easily traverse challenging terrain and climb steep hills due to its high ground clearance and wide tracks. Primarily used to launch attacks from high vantage points such as hilltops and mountains, these tanks excel at ambushing enemies in mountainous terrain.
Due to their vulnerability to aerial attacks, Rebel Army engineers reinforced the top armour and applied camouflage to blend in with the surroundings, disguising the tank as a large boulder. While this camouflage offers limited concealment from nearby ground troops, it effectively prevents detection by Regular Army spy satellites and reconnaissance aircraft. Notably, the Rebel Army views these tanks as highly expendable, frequently deploying them in large quantities without hesitation.
The Type-4 AFV “Girida-O” was the Rebel Army's response to the need for a main battle tank with a balanced mission profile, combining firepower, mobility, and survivability. Aware that the Regular Army was developing a superior vehicle, the SV-001, the Rebel Army sought to create a close enough counterpart. The resulting Girida-O boasts compactness, enabling high-speed travel, and a rifled main gun providing sufficient firepower to address most threats. However, its design prioritises mobility over protection, resulting in a smaller frame and higher speeds. This compromise led to a notable flaw as tank operators often inadvertently ran over their own infantry support.
The Girida-O's chassis is versatile, with the Rebel Army adapting it for various purposes, including material transportation and bulldozing. A utility variant, dubbed Dararin Dara Dara, features a removed turret, a front bulldozer blade, and a hydraulic dumper. Primarily used for transporting materials, the Dararin Dara Dara serves as an engineering and construction vehicle. Although rarely deployed in combat, some resourceful Rebel soldiers have repurposed these vehicles to drop girders on incoming troops, attempting to kill or block their advance.
The Type-5 AFV “Iron Iso” is a defensive-focused vehicle, boasting cannon-based firepower capable of demolishing both enemy and friendly forces with ease. Its armour is exceptionally thick, allowing it to withstand 12.6mm Vulcan rounds and 127mm cannon munitions from the SV-001, which simply bounce off without causing significant damage. Serving as a fortified roadblock and providing cover for troops and other vehicles like the Girida-O, the Iron Iso plays a crucial role in defensive operations. However, due to its high production costs and complex construction, the Rebel Army has never mass-produced or widely deployed the war vehicle in the field.
The T-2B Melty Honey is a lightweight tankette armed with a frontal cannon that fires slow-guided missiles, supplemented by a hefty spiked plate providing additional defence. The vehicle's primary vulnerability lies in its exposed pilot, who's susceptible to enemy gunfire and explosives during combat. However, the absence of heavy armour plating enables the T-2B Melty Honey to achieve higher speeds and acceleration. This advantageous trade-off has led the Rebel Army to continue producing and utilising the T-2B Melty Honey.
The Cooperative Mission Tanks "Shoe & Karn" originated as a gesture of appreciation from General Morden to the Armitage twins, Sagan and Logan, following the formation of the Rebel Army. However, Sagan and Logan persuaded General Morden to produce additional versatile, super-heavy twin tanks based on their original design, recognizing their potential value in intense combat situations. Consequently, these tanks have been manufactured for Rebel soldiers to utilise in warfare. Each tank features a main turret-mounted cannon, two sub-cannon turrets on the front, and a rear-mounted missile launcher. Additionally, two side-mounted hatches enable Rebel soldiers to assist in defending the tank, typically employing bazookas, pistols or grenades.
The M-15A Missile Tank "Bradley" was specifically designed to serve as a long-range artillery unit, addressing a critical gap in the Rebel Army's capabilities during the Great Morden War. Following General Morden's escape and subsequent alliance with the Pipovulaj Army, Rebel Army technicians, with minimal assistance from Martian forces, developed the missile tank. This collaboration resulted in a versatile vehicle capable of engaging targets at ultra-close range. The M-15A Bradley can fire a salvo of anti-tank missiles horizontally or at a 45-degree arc by rotating its turret. Ideally suited for providing support fire, the M-15A Bradley is not designed for self-defence in close-quarters combat.
The Amphibious Vehicle of Destruction "Big Shiee" is a repurposed Ptolemaic Army Terrain Carrier, transformed into a large amphibious battleship designed for seamless transition between water and land travel, utilising its tracks to move like a conventional tank. The Big Shiee is heavily armed with multiple 75mm APDS cannons and a large, retractable main cannon concealed within the bow.
Two primary variants of the Rebel Army's Big Shiee exist: the Carrier Big Shiee and Morden's Battleship. The Carrier Big Shiee has undergone significant modifications, removing several turrets to accommodate Flying Taras as an aircraft carrier. In contrast, Morden's Battleship represents a more advanced iteration, incorporating numerous missile launchers and a colossal frontal minigun in place of the standard battery cannon. This variant boasts reinforced armour, enabling it to traverse sand and water with ease, and even dive beneath the sand.
The LV Armor, also known as the Rebel Armor, is a mechanised armour inspired by the devastating arrival of the Slugnoid during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. Witnessing the Slugnoid's effortless slaughter of numerous Rebel Infantrymen, Pipovulaj Army troops, and mummies, prompted the Rebel Army to develop this armour. Unlike the Slugnoid, the LV Armor is exceptionally light and maneuverable, featuring a rocket booster that enables double-jumping. Its primary armament consists of a concealed 100mm cannon within one of its claws. Additionally, the LV Armor can equip various secondary weapons to its other claw, including Heavy Machine Guns, Flame Shots, Rocket Launchers, Laser Guns, and Shotguns. While this versatility enhances its combat capabilities, the armour's effectiveness is somewhat undermined by the limited ammunition supply for its integrated weapons.
The Multi-role Combat Vehicle "Iron Nokana" is a large, versatile armoured tank designed to counter advancing enemy troops. Its firepower is concentrated at the front, featuring a combined cannon and rocket launcher turret atop the vehicle, complemented by a concealed flamethrower at the bottom. To offset the limited rear firepower, a grey Girida-O tank is mounted on its rear. Initially, the Iron Nokana was designed for Chun Yutetsu, Marco Rossi's former combat school instructor, to operate during the Great Morden War as a last-ditch effort to repel the Regular Army's frontal assault. Following Chun's demise, Abul Abbas repurposed the Iron Nokana for nighttime operations during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash, requesting enhancements, including reinforced armour and blue flame projectiles.
The Formor is a distinctive variant of the SV-001, developed through a collaborative effort between the Rebel Army, Pipovulaj Army, and Amadeus Syndicate. Its design draws inspiration from blueprints of the Ptolemaic Army's Metal Rear, which Doctor Amadeus had access to. Serving as the Rebel Army's primary Super Vehicle, the Formor is twice the size of the SV-001 and features a crude green paint job. While it boasts superior maneuverability compared to the SV-001 and Metal Rear, its power output is somewhat lower than its counterparts.
The Rebel Gigant is one of the few main Rebel Army war machines developed using advanced Tuatha Dé Danann technology. Developed in collaboration with the Amadeus Syndicate, following the failed occupation of the Peregrine Falcons Squad’s South Pacific training grounds, this monstrous walker boasts a huge body, tough armour, great agility, and various weapons, including homing missiles and floating mines. Due to its limited deployment and massive size, many Rebel soldiers and Amadeus Syndicate troops refer to the Rebel Gigant as the "giant sleeping weapon”. Its use is typically reserved for high-ranking Rebel officers and the bravest and most loyal soldiers.
The Emain Macha, also known as The Twins, were inspired by the cooperative mission aspect of Shoe & Karn. Initially, Shoe & Karn were intended for deployment, but they were reassigned to bolster the protection of the Cabracan. As a result, the Emain Macha was hastily produced to provide necessary firepower and counter advancing enemy forces during the Survival Island Occupation. The twin units, Drache and Tiger, exhibit distinct differences in appearance and capabilities. Drache is green, bulkier, and slower, having sacrificed offence for enhanced durability. In contrast, Tiger is red, sleeker, and exceptionally agile, having traded durability for increased offensive power. The Emain Macha reuses the tracks and turrets of the Big Shiee. Due to its single-tread design, it lacks proper steering, only able to move forward and backward.
The Giant Self-propelled Artillery SDV-001 "Tani Oh" is a repurposed Ptolemaic Army heavy artillery tank, armed with a powerful, twin-barreled cannon capable of devastating large areas with ease. The twin guns are an experimental railgun system, firing instantaneous light bolts. Instead of ejecting spent casings, the turret vents smoke and heat through rear exhaust ports. Additionally, the Tani Oh is equipped with two side turrets, each mounting a Vulcan gun and a mine launcher, providing short-range defence.
During the Great Morden War, a female Warrant Officer, intoxicated at the time, and a lone Rebel grenadier crewed the Tani Oh. Regular Army resistance fighters who faced the Tani Oh reported that, after removing the badly injured Warrant Officer for questioning, the interior reeked of alcohol. Initially, only one unit was produced, used by the Rebels for testing purposes in the Käthehirt Valley. However, after Roberto Nicola and Leona encountered a Tani Oh during their operation before the Survival Island Occupation, rumours emerged that a small number of these units might be hidden in secret Rebel Army bases, reserved for desperate situations.
The Iron Sentinel, also known as the Iron Slider, is a colossal mobile rocket launcher that combines advanced Martian and Tuatha Dé Danann technologies. Heavily armoured, its primary vulnerability lies in the massive cannon mounted atop its structure. Additionally, the Iron Sentinel is equipped with an array of missile launchers and energy cannons. Developed in collaboration with the Pipovulaj Army, its creation was intended to facilitate the Rebel Army's and Rootmars' ambitions for global domination. However, these plans were ultimately thwarted by the Invaders' conquest of Earth.
The R-Shobu is the Rebel Army's primary single-seater heavy attack helicopter, designed to provide supplementary firepower for armoured fighting vehicles on the ground. With impressive speed, the R-Shobu attacks by deploying M31 bombs on ground targets or, in the case of the P.R-Shobu variant, utilizing an anti-tank TOW missile pod against aerial targets. Although equipped with a Gatling-style cannon, most pilots tend to avoid using it due to its unpredictable nature. An orange variant, the R.R-Shobu, boasts enhanced movement speed and the ability to fire two missiles simultaneously.
Interestingly, numerous accounts report that love letters have been found among the wreckage of downed R-Shobus. This phenomenon stems from the practice of pilots carrying letters in their pockets, which they would deliver to specific individuals upon encountering them, as requested by those who wrote the letters. The blueprints for the R-Shobu, along with those of the Flying Tara and Eaca-B, were stolen from secret Ptolemaic Army war machine manufacturing facilities during reconnaissance missions conducted by the newly formed Rebel Army.
The MH-6J Masknell is a lightweight utility helicopter often deployed in squadrons of five, led by a Regimental MH-6S. Since its introduction during the Vietnam War, the Masknell has spawned numerous variants, including the MD-500/530, H-6, AH-6, OH-6, and MH-6. Renowned for their speed, affordability, and reliability, these helicopters can be equipped with a range of armaments from anti-tank missiles to miniguns.
The Remained Fortified of Takatsu Bomber Type-770 "Tetsuyuki" is a heavily armoured flying gunship developed by the Rebel Army for combat. Its impressive arsenal has earned it various nicknames, including Impregnable Castle, Moth of Hell, and Sailor Titan. One of these gunships crash-landed in the Villeneuve Mt. System, where Rebel forces fortified it to serve as a strategic base. Despite sustaining significant damage, some of its weapons remain operational.
Notably, a Private 1st Class successfully piloted a Tetsuyuki during the Great Morden War, executing a daring emergency landing on the edge of a waterfall to save himself and his crew from certain doom. Later, Roberto and Leona investigated a reportedly abandoned Tetsuyuki in a jungle, following accounts of Rebels attacking hunters. Upon discovery, the gunship was found covered in moss and vegetation, indicating it had crashed long before the one in the Villeneuve Mt. System.
The Locality Bomber "Flying Tara" is a single-seater, multi-role fighter plane with ground attack capabilities. Its tactical approach involves carrying a single heavy bomb, deploying it, and then swiftly retreating to reload. Similar to the Eaca-B, some Flying Taras are equipped with missile-launching capabilities. Due to the Flying Tara's fast speed and moderate maneuverability, it comprises a significant portion of the Rebel Army's air force. However, it's highly vulnerable to anti-aerial fire.
The Eaca-B draws design inspiration from the Flying Tara, but boasts superior armament and maneuverability. As an air-to-ground fighter plane, the Eaca-B, alongside the Flying Tara, forms the backbone of the Rebel Army's air force. It's faster and more versatile than the Flying Tara, making it a more effective asset, although it remains somewhat vulnerable to anti-aerial fire. Its primary firepower consists of self-propelled heat-seeking bombs, semi-homing missiles, and machine guns.
The Orewana KO-42H "The Keesi I", now redesignated as the Second Generation Attack Helicopter "Hi-Do", serves as the Rebel Army's primary transport gunship and is frequently utilized by General Morden. Initially designed by the Russian Federation for testing purposes, the KO-42H was later legally purchased and modified by the Rebel Army for combat following the Federation's collapse in 2027. With its heavy armour and array of onboard weapons, this versatile combat vessel offers impressive capabilities. As a tandem rotor helicopter, the Hi-Do is primarily used for VIP transport and is the precursor to The Keesi II and The Keesi III.
The Orewana KP-61 "The Keesi II" is a Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) gunship designed to provide close air support to ground troops. Equipped with anti-air guns on its wings, it can also deploy heavy bombs. Notably, its length allows it to transport tanks. Additionally, The Keesi II can utilise its jet engines to incinerate targets below. A unique prototype variant, The Keesi II MK-2, features upgrades, including Vulcan machine guns mounted under each wing. However, this variant lacks landing gear, and only one unit was produced, which was subsequently destroyed by Roberto and Leona. Like its predecessor, it was acquired by the Russian Federation. The Arabian Infantry would later utilise it for daytime operations during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash.
The VTOL Heavy Bomber “The Keesi III” was the Rebel Army’s answer to providing Close Air Support while making an aircraft able to stick to the battle zone until the fight was over. It’s made to store more infantry and provide greater fire support than the previous two models.
The Hairbuster Riberts is a prototype heavy bomber developed by the Rebel Army, boasting a diverse array of armaments, including guided missiles and bouncing bombs. This versatility enables the Hairbuster Riberts to rapidly adapt to changing situations, making it a formidable weapons platform. Despite its potential, the project remained in the testing phase, and it was still ongoing even after the conclusion of the Great Morden War with over a hundred prototype units having been produced.
The Jet Hammer-Yang is a simplistic speed boat outfitted with small cruise missiles on its sides. Although its crew remains exposed, the Jet Hammer-Yang’s remarkable agility makes it a challenging target to engage. Notably, there have been reports of the missiles continuing to fire automatically even after the pilot has been killed, until the Jet Hammer-Yang is destroyed. The exact reason for this phenomenon is unclear, but speculation suggests it may be attributed to the pilot's body weight pressing against the controls. Originally, these vessels served as tourist jet boats in Ronbertburg City, but following the Great Morden War, they were seized and repurposed for military use by the Rebel Army and the Ptolemaic Army.
The Armed Houseboat "Hammer-Yang" originated as passenger boats in Ronbertburg City, ferrying tourists and civilians. However, they were seized by the Rebel Army during the Great Morden War and converted for military purposes. Despite being inexpensive, these boats demonstrate remarkable sturdiness and capacity, accommodating a substantial number of passengers. Interestingly, they're also employed by pirates, primarily supplied by the Rebel Army and the Amadeus Syndicate. There’s a saying within the Regular Army that warns, “Whenever you see a Hammer-Yang, always assume that there are at least 30 enemies inside.”
The Medium Submarine "U25U" was developed to address the Rebel Army's need for submarine vessels in underwater combat prior to the events of the Survival Island Occupation. Developed by Rebel Army engineers in conjunction with the Mini-Sub 88, the U25U is larger, heavier, and remotely operated, distinguishing it from its smaller counterpart. Notably, the U25U can open its side hatches to deploy marine divers and launch guided energy balls from its top hatch.
The Mini-Sub 88 was a response to the Rebel Army's rapid expansion and their recognition of the need for specialised vehicles to operate in diverse environments on Earth. Designed by Rebel Army engineers, the Mini-Sub 88 was created to explore and conquer underwater territories. These compact submersibles are remotely operated, leveraging AI control to minimise manpower requirements.
The Covert Operations Submarine "Hozmi", also known as the Pahodumi by the Martians, is a nuclear-powered submarine designed for naval warfare. Developed in collaboration with the Pipovulaj Army, the Hozmi incorporates Martian and Tuatha Dé Danann technologies, notably featuring a powerful, long-range electric cannon. Multiple Hozmi-class vessels were produced during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash, with Martian personnel overseeing their construction in specialised booths. A rare variant, commonly known as the Hozumikai or Hozmi 2.0, was discovered by Roberto and Leona during their investigation into the remnants of the Rebel Army's Super Soldier Project. This finding suggests that either some Hozmi-class vessels remain in operation or the Rebel Army and/or the Pipovulaj Army retained access to the Hozmi's design blueprints.
The MV-280B, also known as the Attack Jeep Heavy-B, is a component of a series of quick-strike vehicles developed prior to the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. Designed to harass enemy tanks and serve as troop transports, the MV-280B is specifically owned and operated by the Rebel Army. This B-variant is equipped with rockets, enabling it to engage and disrupt slow-moving tanks. A C-variant, which featured a machine gun, was also initially part of the Rebel Army's arsenal but was never deployed. It was subsequently transferred to the Amadeus Syndicate to support the enhancement of their defences.
The Nop-03 Sarubia is a heavy tank designed to disrupt enemy troop movements by deploying rolling mines, rendering them unable to retaliate against the war machine or friendly forces as they evade the mines. Its frontal armour provides robust protection, and the tank is equipped with a cannon that fires spherical shells. However, due to the elevated position of the firing port, the tank's chassis experiences significant recoil, resulting in the shell losing substantial forward momentum. Consequently, the shell often falls short, rolling ineffectively along the ground. A notable vulnerability of the Nop-03 Sarubia is its lack of anti-aircraft defences.
The MG-36 is a supply car utilised by the Rebel Army, typically transporting a refrigerator stocked with assorted food products. Rebels also employ these vehicles as makeshift cover when frontline defences require reinforcement or when cover is scarce.
The 3-ton Utility Truck is a vehicle used for troop transportation, offering a cost-effective alternative to the Landseek for moving large numbers of personnel. Additionally, it can carry supplies such as barrels of fruits and vegetables, crates of ammunition, and boxes of explosives.
The Transport Truck "Landseek" is a support half-track vehicle primarily used for troop transportation. It also has the capability to transport heavy artillery, such as the AA Cannon, a one-man operated anti-aircraft gun, and smaller armoured vehicles. The Landseek has no armour as it's specifically designed for support.
The Rebel Van is a tracked transport vehicle designed to provide soldiers with temporary accommodations. As a result, several personnel are typically stationed inside. However, after the Martian Takeover, the Rebel Army deemed the Rebel Van to be an expensive and ineffective asset, ultimately leading to its discontinuation.
The M-3 Rocket Launch Support Van, also known as the Parachuetruck, is a large van utilized by the Rebel Army. Equipped with multiple launchers on its roof, it can launch a wide range of objects that fit within its payload capacity. The M-3 platform serves as a mobile bombardment system, capable of unleashing multiple volleys of rockets under parachutes to devastate a target area. Following the rocket barrage, it can deploy Rebel Infantrymen via the launchers, which propel them into the air, equipped with parachutes to descend and secure the area.
The Camouflaged Gun Battery "Mini-Bata" is a self-propelled railway gun, operated by a two-person Rebel crew. Following the Rebel Army's capture of Ronbertburg City, it served as a concealed defensive artillery weapon, cleverly hidden among the city's civilian buildings and advertisement towers. The Mini-Bata was converted from a captured locomotive, which was subsequently outfitted with a mounted cannon.
The Mini-Blimp is a miniaturised blimp utilised by the Rebel Army to lift and transport objects and vehicles. Constructed from robust materials, a single Mini-Blimp is required per vehicle. Additionally, the wooden scaffold typically carried by the Mini-Blimp doubles as a mobile platform for Rebel soldiers.
The Kaladgolg is a heavily armed troop train, boasting a laser cannon, dual miniguns, and twin mine launchers. Unlike its counterpart, the Tani Oh, the Kaladgolg is mounted on a railcar, granting it unparalleled mobility. Rumours suggest that it was originally an abandoned underground railway car used by the Tuatha Dé Danann before the K'antu Q'ente inhabited the South Pacific island, where this machine mysteriously resides.
The Walking Locomotive is a Rebel Army mobile train equipped with legs, designed to transport supplies to soldiers on the front line. Following the destruction of their seized 7000 Class Locomotives, which cities had used as specialised supply trains to transport goods and important individuals during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash, the Rebel Army developed an innovative solution. This resulted in a towering, heavily armoured walking train that can auto-pilot itself when the front section is destroyed.
The Balor is a submarine vessel discovered by the Rebel Army during a reconnaissance mission in the P.F. Squad's South Pacific archipelago, prior to the events of the Survival Island Occupation. Rumours suggest that the submarines previously belonged to the Regular Army, but were abandoned due to a prolonged period of inactivity in naval warfare, compounded by their supposed high production costs. Due to its relatively non-functional state, the Balor is repurposed as a stationary weapon platform to support ground troops. Deployed via crane, the Balor attacks by launching torpedoes in an arc. A Rebel Army vehicle driver is stationed on board to operate the functional sections of the vessel.
The Pipe Spider is an advanced mechanised spider developed by the Amadeus Syndicate, leveraging Tuatha Dé Danann technology. Following the Martian Takeover, it was gifted to the Rebel Army. The Pipe Spider boasts an array of armaments, including chain guns, Vulcan guns mounted on its sides, guided missiles, homing particle projectiles, and a high-powered laser. It’s strategically deployed to safeguard the Rebel Army's clandestine weapons factory, situated within an abandoned coal mine discovered in the aftermath of the Martian Takeover.
The Jupiter King is a massive defensive robot developed by the Rebel Army, Pipovulaj Army, and Amadeus Syndicate to safeguard their main secret factory. Its robust body is heavily armoured to protect the internal nuclear reactor, making the lightly armoured head its most vulnerable spot. The robot's arsenal consists of a missile pod on its left arm, capable of firing multiple homing missiles. Its prehensile right arm is equipped with a large, claw-like manipulator that can be converted to destroy surfaces. Additionally, the Jupiter King's eyes can fire a particle beam to attack enemies, and it features a unique "belly button" that generates a massive missile, which the robot can grab and slam into the ground.
The Platformed Urban Tank "Dragon Nosuke" is a quadruped tank featuring fast-moving wheels, designed to safeguard the Rebel Army's seized 7000 Class Locomotives during the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. It's heavily armed with massive chainguns and flamethrowers. Additionally, the tank is equipped with hydraulic systems above its legs, enabling it to crouch and crush anyone or anything underneath with its immense weight.
The Bull Drill is an advanced construction site machine and rumors suggest it drew inspiration from the Drill Slug, evident in its extending drill design. Developed jointly by the Rebel Army and Amadeus Syndicate, this large mining vehicle excels at digging underground and excavating precious materials with ease. Its name is derived from its dual functionality, featuring both a bulldozer blade and a drill.
The Master Armor Gigantic Excavator “Aeshi Nero" is a colossal excavator with a distinctive cobra-like appearance. Originally utilised by an Ajirabian archaeological organisation for underground exploration, it was designed for burrowing purposes. The Rebel Army seized the excavator and enhanced it with advanced Martian and Tuatha Dé Danann technologies, repurposing it for combat. The Aeshi Nero features a missile launcher in its mouth, capable of firing homing missiles, as well as a powerful laser cannon that can penetrate hard stone layers. Additionally, it’s used to create large caverns for Rebel bases.
The Cabracan is a powerful weapon jointly developed by the Rebel Army, Pipovulaj Army, and Amadeus Syndicate, leveraging advanced Martian and Tuatha Dé Danann technologies. Capable of generating devastating earthquakes to annihilate targets, rumors suggest that it can even destroy half of an island by locating and disrupting the central earthly ley lines of the area. Before it could be fully utilised, the Cabracan was destroyed by Division 6 and three former Peregrine Falcons Squad cadets: Walter, Tyra, and Dilovar. However, the Pipovulaj Army retains access to the Cabracan's blueprints, potentially paving the way for its reconstruction.
The Fall Climber, also known as the Fall Mecha and Narutaki, is a gorilla-like mecha designed for scaling cliffs. Developed collaboratively by the Rebel Army, Amadeus Syndicate, and Ptolemaic Army following the Martian Takeover, the Fall Climber incorporates advanced Tuatha Dé Danann technology. This is evident in its sophisticated arsenal, which features plasma shots and a high-powered laser cannon.
The Laser Drone is a vigilance drone utilized in elevator systems, jointly developed by the Rebel Army and Amens Amadeus Syndicate, leveraging advanced Tuatha Dé Sophian Dé Danann technology. These drones possess the ability to cling to ceilings and emit a concentrated laser beam upwards, striking any person above them. Although they have limited armour, Laser Drones compensate for this vulnerability by typically attacking in coordinated pairs.
The Patrol Robot is a small defence drone used to protect the main facilities of the Rebel Army, developed from experimental Tuatha Dé Danann security technology. They're heavily armoured, making their lens, which fires laser beams, their only weak spot. When intruders enter their searchlight, the light turns red, signaling an imminent attack.
The Supervisory Camera is a stationary camera equipped with a British Sten submachine gun or flamethrower, used for vigilance in Rebel Army facilities. It features adjustable angles and can fire upon intruders. Strategically positioned on ceilings, these cameras often operate in conjunction with Patrol Robots to enhance security.
The Sensor Mine is an underwater explosive mine developed by Rebel Army engineers and pyrotechnicians. Later, the blueprints were shared with the Ptolemaic Army as part of their alliance. These mines serve as underwater protection, tracking nearby targets and detonating upon detection. They are often deployed in clusters and transported using disposable Bull Chans that were dropped into the ocean.
The Rebel Walker is a defence drone created by the Amadeus Syndicate using salvaged Tuatha Dé Danann technology. It was gifted to the Rebel Army shortly after the Pod's creation and just before the Ptolemaic Emergence began. These versatile robots are highly agile, navigating to their targets by walking and jumping. They attack by firing energy cannons from their frontal protrusions, which emit waves of energy. If enemies get too close, they will open their mouths to reveal a retractable knife, designed for melee combat. Additionally, Rebel Walkers can launch rockets from their rear to strike targets at a distance, including those on cliffs. They can also deploy modified Pods that provide supporting firepower. These Pods will levitate and fire three homing shots at the target before depleting their battery and falling to the ground.
The Mosque Artillery, also referred to as the Missile Artillery and Turret Fort, is primarily utilised by the Arabian Infantry and Rebel Infantrymen operating in the Ajirabian deserts. Its development was initiated by Abul Abbas, who sought to create an effective ambush strategy against enemy forces during the anticipated counterattack in the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash. General Morden approved this request and instructed his engineers to design a vigilant war machine capable of repelling enemy advances.
It serves as both a surveillance point and an ambush platform for the Rebels. Disguised as a series of minarets within an Arabian mosque, each minaret's dome conceals a missile battery. These batteries launch volleys of slow-moving, homing missiles to attack enemy forces.
The Spider Droid is a smaller, mass-produced variant of the Pipe Spider, also developed by the Amadeus Syndicate and provided to the Rebel Army shortly after the defeat of the Pipovulaj Army and Rootmars. These agile robots possess advanced mobility, enabling them to climb walls and precisely target enemies with their weaponry. Due to their thermal-resistant armour, Spider Droids are primarily deployed in areas with colder climates.

A series of Russian drone and missile attacks beginning March 22 has destroyed much of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The damage, which will cost billions of dollars and many months to repair, has crippled Ukraine’s ability to light and heat itself for the medium term and marks a major escalation in Russia’s ongoing invasion.
The latest wave of Russian airstrikes has been notable for its breadth. Virtually every one of Ukraine’s thermal power plants has been hit along with a series of substations. DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private power company, reports that two of its thermal power plants (TPP) are no longer operational, with repairs expected to take several years. A separate plant in Kharkiv has also been seriously damaged and will take years to repair, according to regional authorities.
The specific condition of additional Ukrainian power plants remains classified, but reports of recent blackouts in multiple major cities have underlined the extent of the threat to Ukraine’s power grid. In a move indicating the scale of the damage caused by recent Russian bombing, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered an early end to the country’s heating season.
Russian targets in recent days have included the Dnipro Hydroelectric Dam, sparking fears of a possible ecological disaster. The dam itself has not collapsed, but the power plant was partially destroyed and pollutants are now reportedly leaking into the reservoir. Even more worryingly, the nearby Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lost grid connectivity due to the attack, putting its cooling systems at risk of stopping. Energoatom called the situation “extremely dangerous.”
In a further escalation, Russia has also expanded its air offensive with attacks on Ukraine’s natural gas storage facilities. These facilities, which house large quantities of gas for European customers, had not previously been targeted in earlier Russian bombing campaigns. Although the storage facilities themselves are underground, the pumping stations that allow for the insertion and extraction of gas are not.
On March 24, Russia launched approximately 20 missiles and drones at the Bilche-Volitsko-Ugerskoye storage facility, which represents around half of Ukraine’s total storage capacity. Ukrainian state-owned gas company Naftogaz downplayed the extent of the damage but did acknowledge that repairs would be necessary. Naftogaz officials also sought to reassure European storage customers that all obligations would be met by Ukraine, regardless of the Russian airstrikes.
The recent wave of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy system comes amid reports that the White House has been pressuring Kyiv to stop attacking Russian oil refineries due to concerns about the possible impact on oil prices ahead of the November 2024 US presidential election. Starting in January, Ukraine began a series of long-range drone strikes on refining facilities inside Russia. These attacks have succeeded in hurting Russia’s energy-dependent economy, with disruption reported to oil and oil product exports, gasoline and other fuel supplies in Russia, military fuel supplies, and Russian income from energy exports.
Global prices for crude oil and diesel, as well as other oil products, have risen in the wake of the Ukrainian attacks. This appears to be making US politicians nervous about the potential impact on their country’s forthcoming elections. Unsurprisingly, many in Kyiv have been outraged by the reported US efforts to effectively protect the Russian energy industry at a time when Moscow is bombing Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure and plunging entire cities into darkness. Ukrainian officials have responded by insisting Russian refineries are legitimate targets.
So far, there have been no reports of European leaders seeking to deter Ukraine from attacking Russia’s oil and gas industry, but that could change as the continent faces a range of looming geopolitical and energy market problems. Russia’s gas transit contract with Ukraine is set to expire in December 2024, with the Ukrainian authorities stating they will not seek an extension. With the vulnerability of Ukraine’s gas storage facilities now an issue thanks to recent Russian airstrikes, and with instability in the Middle East making Arabian Gulf LNG both less assured and much more expensive, Europe may soon begin to pressure Ukraine, too.
Each wave of Russian airstrikes makes Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction more challenging while narrowing the options available to the country. Without crucial US military aid that remains held up in Congress, and faced with hypocritical but likely mounting pressure from Western capitals to play nice with Russia on energy infrastructure while Russia decimates Ukraine’s power grid, the path forward is unclear.
Instead of artificial restrictions on their own ability to strike back, Kyiv desperately needs adequate air defense systems so Ukraine can protect its power plants from Russian assaults. In the meantime, the many Ukrainians who are working tirelessly to maintain their country’s battered energy systems have a long road ahead of them.

so um.
stuff about the HIE Squad:
Serial Designation H:
This birb brain (affectionate) is empathetic, geeky, talkative (only with someone she is close to), stoic, introverted, and envious.
When she was a maid back on Earth, H was one of the many Workers who were constantly yelled on the auditory system by her human superiors. She endured hell in the manor, such as shielding her face from a utensil thrown on it for not following manor etiquette and getting thrown into the pile of decommissioned Workers for making a mess in a guest room due to being told to clean up a dust bunny when it didn't really matter to H. She now wears a mask to hide the injuries and continues so as a DD to soften incoming damage.
After CYN's massacre, H was sent to Copper 9 as part of a squad composing of I and E to eliminate traces of the Absolute Solver. H's memory of SD-I being the one behind her feathery companion's murder (she let, hid, and observed a "black bird's" activities in the manor like Hunter with Flapjack in TOH) is erased, but she still retains the trauma of losing one of her only two friends on Earth. Due to I's incessant and poor criticisms of his squadmates, H decided to work independently and became perceived as a cold/merciless individual.
(I personally think of H as a harbinger of sorts cause one of her ways to scope prey is perching on high structures, such as a street lamp, and watching Workers' movements intently before diving at them)
Evidently, the caped DD originally enjoyed killing the Workers because she felt envious for them being free from human control while H was not....yet. At some point, she comes to believe that perhaps the Workers did in fact deserve the freedom they got.
Maybe H will fly with them too.
In a lighthearted note, H is very knowledgeable and talkative about birds, especially the "black ones" outside of the manor (although this bothered E since his systems retain the memory of him being pecked to death by those birds while chained to a tree back on Earth). She got into the subject during one of her breaks at the building's library where H was tasked to sort books on their respective shelves and put them in "perfect positions." She also likes collecting stuff, such as animal bones and frozen owl pellets, and took up photography when she became a DD to pass the time between her hunts.
I feel like H does take pictures of her prey's "faces of pain and agony" before killing them as a way to project her feelings of being subjected to abuse back in the manor (her systems still retain that memory as CYN’s weapon against the Solver) through envy.
Serial Designation I:
The boss of H and E's squad is mimetic, playful, insufferably charismatic, deceptive, and impulsive. When he worked as a butler, SD-I tried to blend in with the other humans, only to develop unhealthy habits along the way (ex: as a DD, I consumes large quantities of oil not done by a normal DD like how humans get drunk). Furthermore, he looks down upon his own kind since I was extremely focused on escaping a mundane life as a Worker.
At some point after the separation of his squad due to H finding out about E's "murder" (he gets cloned and sent back to Copper 9 like J, after getting turned into a big eldritch worm) at the local Cabin Labs, a frustrated SD-I sets out to find better and competent Disassembly Drones to eliminate more traces of the Solver. It's driven by the fact he's trying to keep his title as one of JCJ's top-performing squads, so he wasn't really allowed to hunt on his own.
(SD-I was the one that sacrificed E to the Sentinels and H, who was at a different part of the Cabin Labs her other squadmates were in, wasn't aware of this until later on. SD-I committed the act because E failed to do something in the hunt for Absolute Solver material)
However, SD-I gets struck by an identity crisis because what was he truly killing for? Were the branded pens worth it? Did the humans really think of their own creations as waste of trash? SD-I played many roles that he doesn't have one that really defines himself as a Drone.
First, he was a cook for the manor kitchen that studied the knife.
Second, he performed for the humans on stage and got thrown into the pile of decommissioned Worker Drones outside for playing the piano poorly.
Third, he became a squad leader with the intent of leading his "extras" to eliminate traces of the Absolute Solver.
And fourth, they failed to comply with his expectations and he's trying to find someone that is smart enough to work with him (but we know damn well many of the DDs have their personality faults that don't align with SD-I's expectations).
(Also changing I’s voice claim to Specter from Pac-man and the Ghost Adventures cause both characters share similar qualities/traits)
Serial Designation E:
He’s rational, creative, clumsy, impatient, and "kalm" ("Are you tired of being nice? Don't you just want to go apeshit?"; He is very, VERY violent at shredding his prey when he can't take things anymore). He's the third member of a squad composing of H and I.
Back on Earth, E originally served as a repair drone for the manor. However, an accident that led to a traumatizing punishment transferred him to the role of an accountant afterwards: because he is very good at numbers, E was glued to calculating manor costs.
As a Disassembly Drone, E tries to get his squad together to avoid delays in their hunt for Absolute Solver traces. Additionally, he relies on electroshock weapons, such as a taser, hacks technology, and "revives" dead Workers to turn into abominable weapons that would make Sid from Toy Story cackling in joy. He usually works in the backlines, but he hunts for Workers for the sake of surviving until the squad's mission is complete.
During a mission to the Cabin Labs, E failed to catch a Worker infected by the Absolute Solver and a furious I threw his colleague to the Sentinels to maul E, thus abandoning the inventor DD with the other dead DDs. H was not aware of this situation until she got an alarming context clue from I at some point, and the squad separated from there (kind of, cause H and a cloned E work together to stop I despite the inventor DD's discomfort of H's love for birds) with the increasing antagonism between H and I following.
In a light-hearted note, E is a gamer. He found a broken Tintendo Swap and a box full of games compatible with it in an abandoned apartment during one of his hunts. Through cartoon logic, E fixed the device and finds himself enjoying the kaizo(-inspired/like) games. Also, E’s hunts involve him doing “video game moves.”

A not-so-simple relocation, day 0/1.
This month has been the longest year of my life.
I'm typing this from Norway!
ALT: A beautiful sunset from one of my balconies.
Issun and Zoan (my cats) are settling in. There was a lot of concern with Zoan, as he just didn't eat for the first four days and Issun had been heavily bullying him. The bullying part is still present at this point (although less than it was before), at least my cats are all eating now and acting fairly close to normal. But, I'm getting ahead of myself, let's go back to Day 0/1
Day 0/1
Things went better than feared! The Milwaukee airport TSA was staffed by cat lovers, so they immediately volunteered a private searching area for Issun and Zoan.
Things went worse than expected! We had all sorts of issues with our flights and bags. At said airport, all but one of my bags was overweight (even though I weighted them with a luggage scale before), causing some jumbling around of things and one of my friends carrying a large quantity of plates in his bag. This came around to bite him, since it flagged something at the TSA security point when we went through and had an "enhanced" search. That's fine though, another one of my friends didn't realize that I keep All The Electronics (tm) in my carry-on bags and went through FOUR TIMES to search everything. The third of my friends was fine for that part, but he had bunch of screwups with his flight schedule (my fault), but the attempts to make it work cost a crapton of money and still didn't fix it correctly.
On top of that, we also had one flight run late in departure (which caused said friend with the messed up schedule to miss his flight, rebooking him to the one AFTER the rest of us), Zoan threw up in his carrier on the intercontinental flight (poor kitty)... and then there was Oslo.
The sheer chaos of Oslo
For reference, Oslo is the capital of Norway, and also only one of two entry points to the country that have veterinarians on staff to check out paperwork for incoming cats. The other two aren't airports, so this is basically the only city I was allowed to fly into to hit customs for my cats.
We flew in late and had a long line at the passport check. Once through passport check, I called the vet on call to let her know that I was on my way to customs. I asked someone where I should go next, and they told me that I should go to the domestic transfer section, which had me re-go through airport security.
Started putting my things in bins, moving around stuff because I have All The Electronics (tm) in checked bags, prepped my cats, and asked where I should go after this to hit customs for my cats. Turns out, this was the way to go while bypassing customs entirely and I was in the wrong place. Not only would that have meant illegally importing my kitties into Norway (which would be very much illegal), but also completely skipping all forms of customs entirely! Don't worry, that last part comes up again later.
After recombobulating all of my things and finding my way through the inevitable duty-free shop in the airport, I finally reached customs with a poor bored veterinarian waiting for me. She booped both bags and then stated that I was the first person to actually get the paperwork right in "a long time" - apparently she had to send several kitties to quarantine in the past week because of people either royally screwing up paperwork or just not bothering with any at all. Like, what? I had seven or eight different notices about this when I booked my flights with cats, how did someone not notice?
Anyway, that put us in the main Oslo customs line after, for which the vet told me to tell them that we just had the cats scanned and were heading on to Bergen (where I'd hit customs there). They waved us through and we were in the domestic side of the Oslo airport. We had to go back through security again at this point, taking Issun and Zoan out of their carriers to get across, one of my friends getting a few new piercings on his shoulder for carrying Issun, and finally made it to the gate.
Arriving in Bergen, we get brought to the baggage area. Two things are immediately apparent:
We can't reach customs because we were on a domestic flight.
We are missing bags. A lot of bags.
Keep in mind, I had eleven total checked bags across three four people (thanks @kriatyrr, who is over my left shoulder). The number that arrived? Three. All assigned to same person. When we went to the baggage office to report lost bags, the person behind the counter was super nice, went through the paperwork, and left me with the quote of the journey:
"Oslo needs to get their shit together on Sundays."
She pointed to the area around her, which had multiple dozens of bags waiting for couriers. My flight was missing over half of its bags.
Cabbed back to the apartment, laid down, and just took a rest... only to cab back to the airport to pick up the friend with the screwed up schedule (don't worry - he was also missing his assigned bags), bringing him back again.
I opened up what I had, which consisted of one bag (with my suit jacket and a few formal shirts), one monitor box (which was fine), and one box with my desktop in it (which sustained lots of structural damage and managed to bend my heatsink at a 45 degree angle).
Oy.

The Grocery Inflation
Aurash Azad: 81969644
Tayeh Ahadi: 46283688
How does inflation affect grocery prices?
Eggs
In the past year, many groceries have seen an increase in prices due to several different factors, such as supply shortages, labor shortages, and natural disasters. In the latter category is eggs, which has had a 138% increase in price in the past year. Before, the average for a dozen Grade A eggs was approximately $1.79, but as of January of this year, the average price has gone up to $4.25. What could be the cause? For the most part, the rising price of eggs can be attributed to the avian bird flu that has swept the nation in the recent months, affecting close to 60 million birds, and as a result, their eggs. The bird flu has not only decreased the supply of eggs to the country, but also increased their overall prices. However, the high price of eggs doesn't detain all Americans, as they are considered a food staple to many, since they are used in a wide range of dishes, such as breakfast foods and baked dishes. The low supply of eggs coupled with their stable consumption means that in many grocery stores across America, eggs are completely sold out. Another source of high prices could be due to price gouging in major egg firms, such as Cal-Maine Foods, which has reported an increase of 600% in quarterly gross profit, though they haven’t had any cases of avian bird flu on their farms. Thus, although the egg industry has seen a decrease in supply due to the avian bird flu, a lot of the price increase is associated with large firms using the flu as an excuse to gouge prices in order to increase their profits, not thinking of the effects they may have on their consumers. In my personal experience, I use eggs frequently in my breakfast as they’re a quick and easy source of nutrition, and they’re versatile in a way that many other foods aren’t. Also, as a college student with very little income, eggs have served as a staple in my fridge since the beginning of university. However, in recent months, I have had to be more frugal in how I spend my grocery budget, and that means less eggs and healthy food options, and more cheap, low-quality food that’ll last me longer. However, even when I plan to buy eggs, they are not always available in my local grocery stores. Just recently, my trip to Trader Joe’s revealed empty rows where eggs used to be, as consumers continue to buy them even as their supply decreases. Eggs, though seemingly inconsequential in day-to-day life, play a significant role in many foods, and their price increase coupled with their supply shortage has resulted in distressing grocery trips all across the country.

Butter
Grocery prices have been on the rise within the past few years. The COVID-19 pandemic that began March 2020 is only one reason to blame the skyrocketing prices, and the shortage of supply in the market. A shortage is when the quantity demanded is disproportionate and larger than the supply available at the market price. After the breakout of the pandemic, many of us would walk into grocery stores to see nothing left on the shelves. There are many different reasons for the rise of prices, and a few important ones that can be seen include shortages within labor as well as supply. According to the Time magazine, the price for one stick of butter has increased more than 31% just within the past year. The average price of butter was set at $3.47, and is now found to be $4.81 on average across most cities in the United States. Besides the COVID-19 pandemic, dairy farmers are blaming the extreme heat, along with the small cow herds, which includes the results of financial combats as the primary reason for the increase in the price for butter. The shortage of butter has caused major concerns in the US, not only for consumers, but for factories and productions as well. One of the main reasons for this is set due to milk production setbacks that occurred within the economy. The demand for butter is increasing, even as the rates for dairy production is lowering, which is causing a lower availability in the supply market. Besides the direct effect it has on the market industry, it affects the lives of individuals as well. For example, butter is an essential ingredient to both chefs as well as bakers, to almost everyone using it in the global economy. Most dishes around the world incorporate butter into their ingredients and are used to help melt or fry, complement, or enhance flavor. The cost of producing dairy products has widely increased and therefore has caused the supply to decrease. How has this affected my personal life? Well, here at UC Irvine it has been difficult living on campus, on a college budget and having to purchase groceries to cook meals. It has become more difficult due to the recent rise in grocery prices, but more specifically butter. Using butter is a crucial ingredient to many different dishes, including eggs, which have also seen inflation within the past few years. With the rise in prices and the decrease in supply available, it has been hard to get access to many basic grocery needs, including butter. Not only do I use butter to cook, but to bake as well. Whether it has been a cookie, cake, or any other dessert, one of the principle ingredients is butter and without it, it makes it very hard to bake or cook. Overall, the rise in grocery prices has caused a worldwide crisis in many households and has put no option but a budget to be imposed in many families that had never thought about having one before. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic emergency slowly coming to an end, along with the combination of farmers beginning to recover from the pandemic and fertilizer costs slowly beginning to decrease, we can anticipate that grocery prices, including the price of butter will begin to decrease once again.

As Russian forces continue their advance in the Pokrovsk front, long-standing systemic issues within the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to aid Russians with that. Based on numerous conversations with sergeants, as well as junior, and senior officers in command positions in the Donbas region, I am writing this post the goal of highlighting the most common and consistent problems mentioned by people on the ground, per their request. Unfortunately, the higher command remains largely unresponsive to these concerns when raised internally.
1. Disconnect in Command and Combat Readiness
There is an apparent disconnect between higher command assessment and the actual combat readiness of units. In many cases, units with limited operational capacity are tasked with responsibilities far beyond their capabilities. For example, newly formed brigades with little battlefield experience are assigned to defend critical and high-risk areas of the frontline, where Russian forces have massed sufficient strength for a potential breakthrough. At the same time, more experienced and better-equipped brigades are stationed in less dangerous sectors.
This imbalance has allowed Russian forces to pinpoint weak spots along the frontline and exploit them, especially during unit rotations - something that they can track easily due to their ISR capabilities. The Ukrainian command, in turn, often scrambles to reallocate battalions from other areas to stabilize vulnerable areas that appeared from miscalculations.
While such actions can help to stabilize the line and even prevent a breakthrough, it leaves other parts of the frontline exposed, perpetuating a cycle of vulnerability.
For context, what may appear to higher-ups as “a company with 60% of its personnel ready for deployment” may, in reality, be a fatigued unit with multiple soldiers in their 40s and 50s or people with previous injuries and chronic health problems, as well as newly arrived recruits with minimal training. The true combat readiness may be closer to 30-40%, but on paper, commanders see a combat-ready unit
2. The Lack of Truth and Realistic Reporting
The previously discussed disconnect raises the question: Why don’t officers report their unit’s inability to perform certain missions? The answer is simple: Brigade commanders and senior officers are ultimately responsible for the combat and mobilization readiness of their units per regulations. Admitting that a unit cannot perform a task is often seen as a failure of brigade leadership. As a result, the command’s solution is simple: if a commander cannot ensure the unit’s readiness, someone else will be appointed to do so. But the situation with resources or combat readiness of unit doesn't improve - you just put a person who is going to push under-resourced and under-prepared units to complete a task they are not equipped to handle, leading to failed operations, abandoned positions, failed defenses, and unnecessary casualties - something that people can witness themselves by looking at the Deep State map.
3. Systematic Problems with Recruitment and Training
The quality and quantity of new recruits continue to fall short of expectations. Although some training centers have made improvements, overall readiness remains alarmingly insufficient. Many newly arrived soldiers are not prepared for the realities of frontline combat, forcing brigades to develop and implement their own internal training programs. The situation demands systemic reforms, including the creation of a structure that leverages the expertise of veterans or those recovering from injuries to train and mentor incoming recruits.
4. Little to no Accountability
Three years into the war, Ukraine has yet to fully implement an After Action Review (AAR) process, which hasn't been implemented except in cases where individual officers took the initiative. The tactical level is the highest level where it's used.
The blame for operational failures often falls on mid-level officers, and in some cases, even soldiers on the ground.

How Liquidity Works in Prop Trading?
Overview:
In the world of prop trading, the importance of liquidity can’t be overstated. This is because although startups in the trading world have income from other sources like fees, many only rely on it as their main cash cow hence they need large quantities daily so as not to run out before making profits if any at all.
The goal of this blog post is to clarify how liquidity is used in prop trading and why it matters for these traders.
Understanding Liquidity in Prop Trading:
The liquidity of an asset or market in prop trading is defined as the degree to which that asset or market can be bought or sold without affecting prices significantly. It is what enables a trader to efficiently open or close positions with minimal effect on markets.
It is the essence of a trader’s ability to enter or exit positions efficiently and with minimal market impact.
Key Components of Liquidity in Prop Trading
Market Liquidity vs. Asset Liquidity
Market Liquidity:
A market with a lot of liquidity means that there are many people willing to buy and sell things all the time, which prevents sudden changes in prices. For example, if you would like to become a prop trader then it would be easier for one to find their way in the forex market where they have high levels of liquidity or trading in the stock market where there is high liquidity.
Asset Liquidity:
Asset liquidity is how easy it is to buy or sell a particular financial product in a trading market. In a given market, all assets are not equally liquid. For one to trade well, they need to have an idea about how quickly they can sell any particular asset so as to avoid being wrong-footed.
Measuring Liquidity
Prop traders employ various methods to measure liquidity:
Volume:
Liquidity is reflected in trading volume, and traders use it as a means to access entry and exit opportunities that are best.
Bid-Ask Spread:
The bid-ask spread is understood as trading setup cost. Whereas narrow spreads are often associated with high liquidity; wider ones may suggest otherwise.
Market Depth:
Market depth is designed to show us how many there are who want to sell/buy something at any given time. And finally this concept of deepness includes having many orders for purchase from different points on the chart which obviously indicates high liquidity level because such situations happen frequently in those markets.
Liquidity’s Role in Trading Strategies
Liquidity profoundly influences trading strategies:
Traders can swiftly execute substantial orders in trading markets where there is high liquidity thereby increasing the chances of profits without affecting prices greatly. This in turn provides an opportunity for scalping as well as day trading strategies.
However, traders should also watch out for less liquid markets or assets without enough buyers and sellers resulting in illiquidity then they should respond appropriately through reducing the traded volumes.
Liquidity has an essential impact on risk management:
In high volatility periods, liquidity can evaporate quickly, which leads to more slippage and potentially larger losses.
It is important for you to know that during periods of high volatility, liquidity may disappear so fast causing increased slippage and more likely losses you won’t be able to avoid without efficient risk management in place that could curb down finder fees through stop loss order installation or paying attention while determining size.
The bottom line
Liquidity understanding and the subsequent utilisation of it are some of the most important skills that traders in the prop sector require. It largely determines trading tactics, precautions as well as the financial outcomes in the long run. Prop traders should be flexible, consistently assessing liquidity in markets and assets, in relation to which they base their decision-making process. In LaunchFXM ,at our disposal are useful information, modern tools and technology that can improve a prop trader’s decision making as well as make their trade profitable. Keep an eye out for future trading brokers related to prop trading together with the complexities of trading markets.

The 5 Sustainable Development Goals Relevant to the Cato Manor Community
Since immersing ourselves into the Cato Manor community (CMC), our dreams have centered around an alternate reality where every household has access to clean water by the opening of a tap, or every child skips to school in the morning with a nutritious food-filled belly, and when he enters the classroom, he is met with a cheery-faced teacher who is eager to impart optimal knowledge in each lesson that she conducts, or decent job opportunities to empower those who hang around the streets all day with the title of a ‘skebeng’.
Sustainable Development Goals was established in 2015 by the United Nations and encompasses 17 goals to address the major challenges faced in the world such as poverty, with the aim of eradicating these challenges by 2030. For these goals to be achievable, every country’s government, NGOs, businesses, educational institutions and the media must collaborate with a common goal and desired outcome.
In the Cato Manor community, the 5 relevant Sustainable Development Goals that will be of immense benefit are:
Goal 1: NO POVERTY
CMC is home to vulnerable, low-income individuals and households. Whilst still feeling the aftermath of apartheid, the community has been stripped off equal access to resources, land ownership, service delivery. Some ways that this goal can be implemented include,
Gathering resources to uplift the community.
Policy changes that warrant the opportunity for land ownership.
Equal service delivery from government organizations.
Goal 2: ZERO HUNGER
Although there is an immergence of soup kitchens in the area to provide basic meals to impoverished individuals, these initiatives lack food security and the food which is provided often lacks nutritional value. Whilst this goal aims to ensure that every individual has food security through resilient agricultural practices, community members have yet to gain full benefit from it, with many children still experiencing malnutrition. Some ways in which this goal can be implemented include,
Investing in infrastructure and agricultural research through plant and livestock banks to enhance agricultural productivity.
Ensure that food production systems are sustainable despite changes in weather conditions, and land & soil quality.
Increase the income of small-scale farmers by growing fruits and vegetables locally where possible instead of importing.
Goal 4: QUALITY EDUCATION
Quality education encompasses inclusivity and life-long learning from early childhood through to tertiary education. Although the CMC community has schooling opportunities from Grade R to 12, factors such as a large quantity of students per classroom, burnt-out educators, curriculums developed in the English language when the majority speak native African languages, hinder holistic, quality educational opportunities. This poses as a disadvantage due to the lack of skills development that could harbor economic growth in the future.
Goal 6: CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION
In CMC, most households lack access to running water and rely on water collection sites which could be hazardous when consumed. Toilets are often found independent of the home without adequate sanitation. Through this goal,
Drinking water which is safe and affordable must be easily accessible.
Adequate and accessible sanitation is paramount, particularly for feminine hygiene as unhygienic conditions foster infections.
Reducing water scarcity through sustainable irrigation practices.
Goal 8: DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
The high unemployment rate coupled with minimal-wage jobs hinders economic growth in communities such as CMC. The goal focuses on fostering economic growth for people in all communities through decent employment opportunities and the protection of labour rights of the workforce through,
Job creation through entrepreneurial opportunities, by providing financial support.
Reducing the youth unemployment rate through education and training.
Protecting labour rights and safe working conditions for all workers.
The SDGs have been developed with the aim of a more sustainable future through addressing global challenges which leaves no one behind or no stone unturned. Although noticeable changes have been made to achieve these goals by 2030, significant challenges remain. The government, NGOs, businesses and educational institutions must collaborate to drive the agenda of change, with successful implementation of all goals.

Supply and Demand, Weak Axiom of Revealed Preference, and Externalities
During the pandemic it was extremely hard to find an efficient method to kill the abundance of time I had on. As we all know, leaving the house wasn’t exactly an available option due to the pandemic occurring during my sophomore year of highschool when many did not possess a driver's license yet and overbearing parents constantly nagged about how the virus could kill us. I had always been interested in pc gaming and decided to seize this opportunity to build my own gaming pc. Much to my dismay, many others appeared to have a similar idea and the price of many of the computer parts I had been scouting beforehand had skyrocketed due to increase in demand and a lack of quantity to keep up with this demand. The underproduction of goods was a direct result of a shortage of resources to make parts and difficulties regarding shipment.

(Sorry, I couldn't find a way to crop the image because macbooks are confusing)
The demand curve has shifted to the right, indicating that demand for computer parts has increased and so has the market equilibrium as indicated by the shift of Q1 to Q2. Meanwhile, the supply curve has shifted to the left due to a lack of resources and this in combination with the increase in demand has resulted in an exorbitant increase in price. Many individuals required a computer in order to work and a large portion of people were in a similar situation as me, searching for a way to kill time. In fact, eight of my friends also decided to purchase their computers around this time which helps to highlight just how popular the lucrative idea of pc gaming was at the time.
This drastic increase in price was not the only thing hindering me from purchasing a computer. From what I was aware of at the time, graphics cards (the most important and expensive part of a computer) produced by Nvidia were the most logical to purchase. According to the Weak Axiom of Revealed Preference (WARP), if price and income are constant, consumers will typically buy one product over another. In this instance, all gpu prices had skyrocketed meaning prices were consistently astronomical. I believe that at the time there were only three major companies producing graphics cards (Nvidia, AMD, Intel) and I had established a clear hierarchy of which card to buy. The order was as follows: Nvidia > AMD > Intel. The reason for my strong desire for a Nvidia GPU (graphics card) can be explained by opportunity cost, the potential benefits foregone when choosing one option over another. Although more expensive than the alternatives, Nvidia provided very good software which allowed for things like video encoding, faster rendering, and rtx graphics which proved to be significantly more alluring than what the other companies offered. AMD gpu were extremely good at producing raw power and boosting what is known as frames, but it offered little to no support regarding its software. On the other hand, Intel gpu were extremely weak and although I am sure they would be a good option for a work computer, my interest was in gaming which required a powerful gpu.
When I had finally purchased my computer, I had failed to account for the negative externalities that accompanied this purchase. I was extremely loud and rambunctious and I often woke my family up late at night. As seen in the graph, I would behave as loudly as possible and play as if nobody else was in the house as seen by the MU (marginal utility). My parent’s marginal cost is indicated by the MC (marginal cost) because they absolutely hated me playing video games everyday. However, whenever I was being too loud they would quickly shoosh me and tell me to be quieter. This would usually result in me becoming much quieter and calmer which resulted in the socially optimal output being achieved as shown by the intersecting point of the two curves.

We are looking at different things here, first the name Tawada is an Amazigh girl name that means departure or start, and so Tawada Women Cooperatives is a cooperative of cooperatives
Still how do we secure these women, making rugs and many other handicrafts, their fair income and the answer to that crucial question within the implementation of SDG 5 Gender equality, is to proceed through GPA's, guaranteed purchase agreements, ie Tawada buys all of what these women produce and pays them a fair income for their work
The other thing is the INDH, a broad national human development initiative that has been hampered, although we have use for it, by the lack of funding, INDH is important doesn't have a fund
Now Tawada shouldn't be all that the INDH Fund accomplishes, and it is conducive to actually obtaining results from the INDH initiative
But what do you do with so many rugs, well it's not just rugs there should be other things, wool garments and such, and Tawada distributes them internationally
In short one INDH Fund strategies is to formalize the traditional handicrafts sector of Morocco for exports, maybe even own its handicrafts shops abroad, where the thinking is that if you cannot come to Moroccan handicrafts they have to come to you
Also there is potential for doing more of the same in other countries, the end result might be a large handicrafts corporation that owns its distribution network, proceeds through GPA's and guarantees a fair income for its manufacturers, maybe Chile next, Chile has that same configuration of Andes women making wool rugs and wool garments
Turning SDG's into business, sometimes big business, possibly we are looking at one of the largest international women cooperatives business, both a manufacturer and distributor of handicrafts
Lots of people on the field, because you have to meet these women and explain what you are doing, lots of people also in quality control because GPA's standards have to be respected, where yes Tawada can guarantee the purchase of all of it but quality has to remain consistent with the prices that are paid
And an e-commerce platform where you can purchase fair trade handicrafts made by women in different parts of the world, and when we think of it that is women empowerment through fair incomes, through fair trade, and an important step for furthering SDG 5
It might be 2, 3, or 4 million women just in Morocco we don't know, but one thing is certain is that it is worth pursuing, it's different from micro credits where what is expected is the repayment with interest rates and where the loan might or might not succeed thus the high interest rates that have become common in micro credits, this approach conversely rewards actual productions
Interestingly because of its GPA's in different parts of the world Tawada is bound to develop stocks so there is that merchandising aspect of it of pushing this or that stock depending of quantities
Thank you for having followed
